The film already has quite a good talk around it and the story too looks intriguing based on the trailer shown.“We have a simple social message in the movie which is narrated with commercial elements. It is about how an individual shouldn’t be affected by what the society thinks of him. He should believe in himself regardless of all the negativity he faces,” Vijay Milton says about the film.
Rajakumaran is the lead in this film which also has Bharath, Subiksha and Radhika Prasidhha star co-starring important roles. “Yes, Rajakumaran is the main lead. The story is being narrated from his perspective. Also, Rajakumaran is a positive person off screen and doesn’t mind even if the audience talks ill of him, so he fits the bill perfectly. Bharath plays a contrasting role and will be on par with Rajakumaran’s,”, Vijay Milton says. When queried about their roles in the film, the filmmaker added saying Rajakumaran plays a Puliyaattam artist and how he saves Bharath’s character is what Kadugu is centered around.
Kadugu will be distributed by Suriya under his production house 2D Entertainment and will be the first non-Suriya movie to be released under the banner. “Initially, Rajakumaran had doubts if anyone would come forward to distribute a film in which he plays the hero. When we screened the movie to Suriya, he immediately came forward to release the film. Suriya said that he is not bothered about the success or the failure. All he wanted was a movie with a unique storyline to reach the audience,” Vijay Milton revealed.
