Not Vidya Balan, But Rajinikanth To Reunite With Another Bollywood Actress For Pa. Ranjith Film

One of the biggest and most exciting announcements last year was undoubtedly actor Dhanush revealing that his Wunderbar Films banner would be producing ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s next under Pa. Ranjith’s direction after Shankar’s 2.0 wraps up. Up until now there has been no big update on the project apart from the Kabali director scouting locations in Mumbai. However, it seems now there are developments taking place.

Latest reports indicate Pa. Ranjith has set up an office in Egmore, Chennai for the film with pre-production work going forward in full swing and that the search for heroine is going on steadfast. A few days back there was news doing the rounds that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was being eyed for the role which the actress acknowledged by saying discussions did happen.

Having said that, it is now being said Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who acted with Rajini in the epic historical fiction Kochadaiiyaan in 2014 is a prime contender for the role. Furthermore, filming will most likely begin on the project on April 14 as per word across K’Town. However, an official statement is awaited from the makers.
