Three Protestors Arrested For Trying To Burn Kamal Haasan’s Effigy

As reported yesterday, members of the Hindu Makkal Katchi and Akila Hindu Mahasabha had registered police complaints against actor Kamal Haasan for his comments on the epic Hindu holy book Mahabharata during a recent television interview.

Latest reports state Kamal Haasan’s comments in the interview had irked three persons belonging to a religious group in Erode and they had resorted to try and burn an effigy of the actor. However, the police were early to step in and prevent them from doing so. The protestors have now been arrested.
