Rajinikanth And Narendra Modi To Do It For Cho Ramaswamy
Well known actor, editor, political satirist, playwright and dialogue writer, film director and lawyer Cho Ramaswamy is a man who doesn’t need much introduction. He’s also known as the founder of Thuglak, a Tamil language weekly news magazine.
The veteran who also played a pivotal role in the political scene of our state, succumbed to illness on 7 December 2016 at the age of 82, only two days after the death of Jayalalithaa, Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
To mark the end of Thuglak’s 47th year and to commemorate the loss of Cho Ramaswamy, an event has been organized that’s set to happen in Music Academy, Chennai on 14th January.
Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the function through live video conferencing. ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth will also be present in person at the event. N. Ram of The Hindu Group of publications, VIT University’s founder and chancellor G. Viswanathan, Classican dancer Padma Subrahmanyam and famous journalist S. Gurumurthy will be the other personalities who’ll be sharing the dais at the event.
