‘Makkal Superstar’ Controversy; Lawrence Meets Rajini

The moniker ‘Makkal Superstar’ which appeared in the title cards of the choreographer turned actor Raghava Lawrence’s recent release Motta Shiva Ketta Shiva did not go well with Superstar Rajinikanth’s fans who abused Raghava Lawrence on social media.

Clearing the airs and putting an end to the controversy, Raghava Lawrence shared how he was unaware of the fact that the makers wanted to surprise him. Over the weekend, Lawrence met the Superstar at this residence and cleared the air on the controversy. In a statement issued on Tuesday, Lawrence got nostalgic on how he was introduced by Rajinikanth to cinema.

Lawrence said, “When I was all alone trying to make a living and struggling to come up in life, when no one in this world was by my side – it was fight master Super Subburayan sir and Superstar Rajinikanth sir who helped and supported me to enter into cinema. Even now, after the release of Motta Siva Ketta Siva – it is the same Superstar who hugged me like a child and showed his unconditional love and support. He knows me well and I know him well. He is my guru.”
