Keerthy Suresh Is Playing Savithri In ‘Nadigayar Thilagam’. But What About Samantha?

On the occasion of Women’s day, the makers of Nadigayar Thilagam which is titled Mahanati in Telugu released the poster, that went viral and grabbed several eyeballs. Although it is known that actress Keerthy Suresh will be playing Savithri in the film, there have many wondering about Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s role in the upcoming biopic bilingual.

As per latest reports, it is said that Samantha will be reprising the role of yesteryear actress Jamuna. Like Savitri, Jamuna was equally popular in Tamil and Telugu film industries. She was no doubt a prominent actress back in the Golden Age of Tamil cinema and was featured in in Thenali Raman, Thaai Magalukku Kattiya Thali, Nichaya Thamboolam and Kuzhandaiyum Deivamum.

Nadigayar Thilagam/Mahanati will be directed by Nag Ashwin and is being bankrolled under the Vyjayanthi Films banner.
