Dhruva Natchathiram has gone through quite a few changes since production had begun. Initially, Malayalam actress Anu Emmanuel was announced to play the female lead. Later, it was said that she was replaced by Nayanthara who was to team up with Vikram for the second time after their blockbuster Iru Mugan last year. However, a source close to the movie unit has now revealed, “It is true that Anu Emmanuel is no more a part of the cast. Ritu Varma later joined the team, but she plays another heroine. It is Aishwarya Rajesh who is now playing the female lead opposite Vikram in Dhruva Natchathiram. Both Aishwarya and Ritu have completed a day’s shoot for the film,”.
It must be noted that Aishwarya Rajesh has fast risen to the top of the ladder in the industry with her clever choice of roles as well as her impressive performances. Known prominently for her stellar performance in Kaaka Muttai, she will next be seen in Kattappava Kaanom, Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum, Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai and the long-delayed Idam Porul Yaeval in Tamil, Sakhhavu in Malayalam and Daddy in Hindi.
In addition, the film said to be a dream project for Gautham Menon has made another change. Santhana Krishnan, the son of veteran cinematographer Ravi K Chandran has taken over the cinematography of the film. He replaces Jomon T John.
Meanwhile, Vikram who recently wrapped up the shoot of his next film by Vaalu fame Vijay Chander last week has resumed filming for Dhruva Natchathiram. “The current schedule of Dhruva Natchathiram is being shot in locations across Chennai. The team will move to the US for the upcoming schedules,” added the source.
